Woman imam leads Jumu’ah prayers in Kerala

In the Malappuram of Kerala, India, a female Imam has led Zuma’s prayers for the first time in the country, which has ruined the wall of sexual fundamentalism.

The General Secretary of the Quran Sunnat Society played the role of imam during the prayers in the office of the Muslim majority district in Muslim-dominated district.

The prayers of Juma prayers every Friday are usually led by men. Society sources said that about 80 people including women took part in this prayer.

Jamita said that the Holy Qur’an does not discriminate between men and women and there is no restriction on the imam of women in Islam.

She said that, in the history of our country for the first time, a woman is leading a prayer of Zuma.
