Veteran Bollywood actress Zeenat Aman has registered a rape case against a businessman in Mumbai.
According to ANI, the accused has been arrested and will be produced in court Saturday (24 March).
The rape case has been transferred to the crime branch and the accused was arrested last night. Further investigations in the case are underway.
Between 2011 to 2015, the accused, Sarfaraz alias Aman Khanna demanded 68-year-old Zeenat Aman to give him her gold jewellery worth rupees 15,40,60,000. When the actress refused, he made fake forged papers of 5 of the flats in the actress' name and fraudulently transferred it in his name.
On January 10, 2018, the actor had filed a separate stalking case against Khanna. He was arrested the following month and released on bail.
On Thursday, Zeenat Aman filed a fresh complaint accusing the businessman of rape and fraud of Rs 15.40 crore plotted around a property deal. According to Mirror Now report, the complaint states that Sarfaraz raped the Actress and made fake papers for their nikah or marriage ceremony, and threatened her with dire consequences if she spoke out against him.
The police arrested the accused and booked him under sections 376, 420, 406, 465, 467, 468, 469, 471, 506 to the IPC.
Zeenat Aman is a celebrated actress from the 1970s and the 1980s, and star of films Yaadon Ki Baaraat, Roti Kapada Aur Makaan, Dharam Veer, Abdullah, Laawaris, Sohni Mahiwal and Baat Ban Jaye. She was last seen in 2014's Strings of Passion.
