25 homeless families get houses in Gouripur

Gouripur (Mymensingh): A total of 25 landless and homeless families in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh got houses as part of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Mujib Year gift under the second phase of Ashrayan project. The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the second phase of the project to give houses along with 200 acres of land for free via video conference on Sunday (20 June,2021).

Freedom Fighter Nazim Uddin Ahmed, MP handed over the documents regarding the ownership of the houses and other papers to 25 homeless and landless families at a function at Gouripur Public Hall after inaugurating the countrywide programme. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Hasan Maruf presided over the function while AC(land) Abedur Rahman conducting the function.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Mofazzal Hossain Khan, Upazila Vice Chairman Suhel Rana, Acting president of the upazila Awami League Dr. Helal Uddin, among others, were present on the occasion as guests.
